OpsVault is an open-source backup automation tool for Linux servers. It helps you back up MySQL/PostgreSQL databases and folders, compress the output, upload backups to remote storage via rclone, apply retention policies, and send Telegram/email notifications from a single YAML config.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built OpsVault because managing backups across multiple Linux servers often turns into a collection of custom scripts, different database dumps, folder archives, remote storage commands, retention cleanup, and notification logic.
OpsVault keeps this workflow simple with a single YAML config.
It currently supports MySQL/PostgreSQL database backups, folder backups, gzip/tar.gz compression, rclone-based remote uploads, local and remote retention policies, Telegram/email notifications, systemd service support, backup history, and database restore commands.
The goal is to make backup automation easier for solo developers, small teams, agencies, and self-hosters who manage Linux servers.
I’d love to hear your feedback, especially around restore flows, retention policies, and what would make you trust a backup tool for production servers.
