Report
How does the deferred deep linking actually handle cases where the app isn't installed yet, and is attribution still accurate after a user reinstalls? Curious about the real-world reliability here before we swap out our current setup.
Report
@melihcatallx79 Our product logic is as follows: if the user has not installed the app, they will be redirected to download it from an app store or another third-party download source. If the app is already installed, the system will prioritize opening it directly whenever possible. If the app is uninstalled and then reinstalled, the attribution information will be rematched.
Report
how does the deferred deep linking handle users who already have the app installed but get the link via a new channel — does it just open the app or can it route them to a specific screen?
Report
@ogluzafer53599 Yes. Our product logic is as follows: web links contain parameters that are passed to the app through our product. After the app receives these parameters, it performs a secondary redirect to a specified in-app page.
Report
How does the attribution SDK handle attribution when users have opted out of ad tracking on iOS, and is there any impact on deferred deep link reliability in those cases?
Report
@onurie3v Our product does not rely on advertising tracking permissions (IDFA). Our approach is as follows: web links contain parameters that are passed to the app through our product. Once the app receives these parameters, it uses them to support relevant functions, such as tracking users’ installation sources, establishing referral relationships, redirecting users to specified pages, and analyzing channel data.

Setup was straightforward and the deferred deep linking worked on the first install test, which honestly surprised me. The reporting updates fast enough to actually be useful for tweaking campaigns on the fly.
