1.Why did you build this? Having worked in and around the tech ecosystem here in Bengaluru for years, I saw the same broken pattern everywhere. Companies, including my own, would spend weeks and lakhs of rupees to find and interview a dozen incredible people, only to hire one. The other eleven—our "silver medalists"—would get a generic rejection email. It was a colossal waste. We lost the money and time invested, and it was a terrible, impersonal experience for talented candidates. We built OpenHire to fix this fundamental flaw. We believe that a "no" from one company shouldn't be a dead end; it should be a warm introduction to the next great opportunity. 2.What's new and unique about your launch compared to alternatives? Unlike traditional recruiters that charge hefty fees or job boards that create endless noise, OpenHire creates a new category: a Collaborative Talent Network. Our uniqueness is threefold: A.We turn a cost center into a profit center. For the first time,/Recruiters can now earn money on the candidates they don't hire by referring them to the network. No one else does this. B.Access to an exclusive, high-intent talent pool. These aren't just random applicants. This is a curated pool of "silver medalists" – professionals who have been pre-vetted, interviewed, and vouched for by other reputable companies. This cuts the time-to-hire from months to days. It’s built on goodwill. We're fundamentally changing the dynamic from competitive hoarding of talent to a cooperative ecosystem where everyone benefits. 3.What are you most proud of in this launch? We are most proud of creating a true "win-win-win" system- a)The referring Recruiter wins by earning money and boosting its employer brand. b)The hiring company wins by getting fast access to high-quality, vetted talent. c)Most importantly, the candidate wins. Their job search is accelerated, and the sting of rejection is replaced with a genuine, new opportunity. That first moment when a Recruiter earns a referral fee for a candidate they couldn't use, and that same candidate sends a "thank you" note because they landed a dream job through the platform—that’s the magic. We're not just building a SaaS tool; we're building a more efficient, collaborative, and human way to hire.
