Why I built OpenGraph Preview
As a developer, I often work on websites where the small details matter — especially how a link looks when someone shares it.
A website can look perfect in the browser, but when you share its URL, the preview might show the wrong title, a missing image, an outdated description, or no preview at all.
Debugging these issues wasn't always straightforward. I had to switch between different tools to inspect metadata, check images, understand missing tags, and see how a link might appear across different social platforms.
I wanted a simpler way to do all of that in one place.
So I built OpenGraph Preview — a free, easy-to-use tool that helps developers, SEO professionals, website owners, and content creators inspect Open Graph metadata, validate social images, preview link cards, diagnose common issues, and generate the correct HTML tags.
I also wanted it to be accessible: no account, no installation, and no unnecessary complexity.
This started as a practical tool to solve a problem I encountered while building and working on websites. I decided to make it publicly available so others could benefit from it too.
It's an independent project, built by me, Ekansh Singh.
I'm launching it to get real feedback, discover what needs improvement, and keep making it more useful.
