Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Sean, the creator of OpenAdServer. I’ve spent years in AdOps and Engineering, and I kept seeing the same problem: if you want to host your own ads, your only real option is Revive Adserver. While it's a legend, its codebase is over a decade old and struggles with modern high-concurrency demands. I wanted a tool that felt like it belonged in 2025. Something I could tweak in Python, deploy via Docker, and connect to my React frontend easily. So I built it. OpenAdServer handles the heavy lifting of ad selection, frequency capping, and reporting using Redis for speed and Postgres for reliability. Quick note: We are currently API-first. A full UI dashboard is on our roadmap, but right now, this is a playground for developers who love APIs.
