As it turns out, traditional WAF solutions can't usually protect against OWASP-top-10 and zero-day attacks. Being based on Machine Learning, open-appsec (a new open-source WAF by Check Point) can protect against these attacks in advance and block them before any damage is done, without relying on any signature updates.
