I built Ony because sharing music shouldn't depend on which streaming app you use.
A friend would send me a Spotify link, but I'd use a different music app. I'd end up copying the song name, switching apps, searching for it, and trying to find the exact same track. It felt like an unnecessary friction point in something as simple as sharing music.
I wanted to build a small, open-source Android utility that makes this seamless: one music link, any music app.
I'd love feedback on three things:
Song matching: How accurately does Ony find the right track across platforms?
User experience: Is the setup intuitive, or does Android's link-handling configuration create too much friction?
Compatibility: Which streaming services or edge cases should I support next?
Most importantly, I'd like to know whether this solves a problem other people experience too, and what would make them use it regularly.
