Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm excited to share OnlinePlayer with you all! **What inspired me to build this?** I was frustrated with having to download large video files from my Google Drive just to watch them. I thought: "Why can't I just stream them directly in my browser like Netflix?" Traditional video players require downloads or installations. Cloud storage services have limited format support. I wanted something that combines the best of both worlds - the convenience of cloud streaming with the format flexibility of VLC. **The core problem I solved:** - Privacy: Your videos never leave your computer - all processing happens client-side - Convenience: Stream directly from Google Drive/Dropbox without downloads - Compatibility: Support for formats browsers don't natively support (MKV, AVI, etc.) **Technical challenges:** The biggest challenge was implementing efficient streaming with Range requests while maintaining privacy. I used Web Workers for file processing and built a custom OAuth flow that doesn't require a backend server. **What's next?** I'd love to hear your feedback!
