This is the story of Olive Kitteridge, a strong yet compassionate woman who lives in rural Maine. Her story is told via 13 distinct stories of other people, but it is through these other stories that Olive's character develops and you see her as strong, week, mean and kind - a juxtaposition of perceived qualities of a person.
I read this book on a vacation and it was a quick read yet it had depth.
Oh and it's a Pulitzer Prize Winner.
