favorite NYC startup - by favorite - I'm going to assume it's the one I want to keep an eye on the most. There are a ton in the ecommerce space - so it's an extremely hard decision - but given their unique plan in the ecommerce space I'm going to place my cards on Olapic.
The founding team is also really down to earth so delightful to speak to. More importantly, I would say that user generated content (UGC)// photos will continue to grow as a major selling tool for fashion, and any other type of lifestyle brand including home goods and electronics. As retailers begin to understand the power their customers have in being their most important brand ambassadors, Olapic is in a unique spot to capture significant market share by leveraging their UGC photo-sharing Saas product in partnerships with retailers across the globe and for this reason I'd keep a watchful eye on them going forward.
