We built OffKin for people who don't want to send their text, voice and files to a cloud service. It's four tools in one Android app, and all of them run on the phone, even in airplane mode:
• Translator: text and voice in 15 languages, plus a live two-way conversation mode where each person speaks their own language.
• Assistant: ask by text or voice. The AI model runs on your phone, so your questions are never sent to a server.
• Documents: convert PDF, DOCX and text files, merge and split PDFs, turn pages into images, recognize text and translate documents.
• QR & barcodes: scan and create codes, and connect to Wi-Fi with a QR code.
No account, and we don't collect any data.
A few honest notes:
– Languages and the AI model download once. After that, no internet is needed.
– The Assistant needs at least 4 GB of RAM for the light model (about 2.6 GB download) and 6 GB for the accurate one (about 3.7 GB). It's compact, so it doesn't know recent news and can make mistakes.
– Android 11 or newer. No iPhone version yet.
– Basic is free forever. The first month includes all Pro features, no card needed.
