Hello world 👋🏻 I'm the developer behind Octopoddy!

I love listening to all different kinds of podcasts, I think they are a great way to learn more about anything more or less and do so in an entertaining way. Over the last few years more and more of the shows I listen to have added more and more advertisements to them which I really feel disrupts the flow of episodes.

Now with AI we can identify and automatically fast forward advertisement segments inside the podcast audio. So I applied this tech to my new app Octopoddy so you have fewer interruptions and allow you brain to stay focused.

To be honest the app is still a bit rough around the edges however the core ad skipping tech works surprisingly well ⏩

It’s actually super useful for me. I skip ads manually all the time, and it gets pretty annoying, especially at the gym when I don’t want to keep stopping for sponsored ads. Are you thinking of adding transcripts as well?

@fariaanzum Awesome I'm glad to hear you think its useful! The underlying advertisement detection mechanism uses transcripts so they are already there. I am planning on exposing them in the app in an upcoming version
