You can read a word, but when you hear it, your brain goes blank. Ocardric targets that gap. Built by a learner who burned out on Anki, Ocardric takes a different approach. You add words you actually encounter, not a preset list. AI generates audio. You listen during your commute. No screen required. What's different - You search for words you want to learn and build your own list - Background audio playback - You control the pace, not an algorithm - 14 UI languages
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Shunsuke, the developer behind Ocardric.
I started learning German in my 40s. Anki worked, but I was spending 2 hours a day just keeping up with reviews. I needed something I could fit into my commute without staring at my phone.
So I built Ocardric. You add words you encounter in your own studies, AI generates the audio, and you just listen. No algorithm telling you what to study or when.
The core idea came from a frustration I couldn't find solved anywhere: I could read German words fine, but when I heard them in conversation, my brain went blank. That gap between reading and listening comprehension is what I wanted to fix.
Happy to answer any questions about the app, the language learning approach, or how I built it. Would love to hear from other adult language learners here!
