Humans have been trying to convey messages through images since we were cavemen, while we evolved to create complex languages to communicate, the early technologies like printer & digital tools only supported reproduction of text and printable characters but that never stopped us... this app was created as a tribute to human ingenuity. a responsive app that renders image & video real-time in different art modes on any digital device with camera, allowing you to explore these early digital art forms ASCII mode : producing images/videos with printable characters Matrix mode: producing images/videos with 0,1 & varying color density Halftone mode: producing images/videos with dots of variable size & spacing. 8bit/pixel mode: producing images/videos with large blocks of color While wanting to stay true, for practical purposes the app allows to increase the pattern density to improved fidelity of output. A data is stored locally and no ai is used for generating the art modes. Once the page is loaded, it should work even without internet. Have fun! Stay curious.
