Hello Product Hunt, it's time to Free Your Feet! At OAKA we are focused on making modern barefoot dress shoes that combine all day comfort and timeless style. We are launching our full grain leather wide toe collection born from our community's feedback. Traditional dress shoes are the most health detrimental part of our wardrobe. They act as castes for our feet causing muscle weakness, joint paint, and a reduction in mobility. The narrow toe box squishes our toes and reduces our balance while the unnatural heel changes our gait and causes tendon and back pain. We redesigned the dress shoe from scratch to incorporate flexible soles & premium materials made to increase comfort. Our new leather Derby is lined with soft suede to gently cushion your feet while still adhering to barefoot principles. The whole shoe is entirely flexible and soft allowing your feet to more easily move as they should while walking rather than being trapped in a fixed cast where they can atrophy over time. This has the added benefit of being easily packable for your next adventure. Our shoes take on a timeless look made from polished full grain leather sculpted into a Derby style. Whether you're in the office, walking around town, or traveling you can look professional without sacrificing comfort. We custom developed a shoe mold from scratch that gives the typical dress shoe look from the outside but is actually a faux heel derived from special cut outs allowing your foot to stay flat to the ground. We combined this with an anatomically wide toe box which lets you walk flat and comfortably on the ground as if barefoot rather than at an angle and squeezed like with traditional dress shoes.
