Hi Product Hunt 👋
Every food decision today comes with two loud voices: brands telling you it's healthy, and influencers telling you it's poison. Neither knows where you bought it, when, or who you are.
A tomato from a 10-minute delivery app's dark store on a Sunday night and one from a morning farmers' market are different stories. A "high-protein" bar can mean 7 g in the serving you actually eat. And none of it is checked against your blood sugar or cholesterol.
NutriSathi ("nutrition companion" in Hindi) is my attempt at an honest food friend:
📸 Any food, any input. Use the camera, a photo, a PDF menu, a barcode or just a name.
⚖️ Both sides, honestly. You get the real good and the real other side, with no marketing and no scaremongering.
📍 Local truth. Freshness, origin, pesticide and storage estimates for where and when you bought it, clearly labelled as estimates.
🛒 Where to buy it better. Your country's apps (Tesco, Instacart, Blinkit, Woolworths and more) compared with real nearby markets, with Google Maps directions.
🩺 Personal, for free. Upload your own lab report or diet plan once, and every verdict reflects it. You review every value before it's saved, and only you can read it.
👩⚕️ Real experts. Verified dietitians and doctors offer a free first session when AI isn't enough.
It's free. Bring your own AI key if you like, or use our shared free engine.
It's an early product built by a student team in India, for everyone. The AI can misread a label, and local points are estimates, not lab tests. Tell me where it gets things wrong. That feedback is the roadmap.
