Hey everyone! Its a big day for Numbrz as this is Day 1 of launching our platform! We’re grateful for Product Hunt and its community! ------ Back in 2004, I joined VMware as the third finance person during a time of rapid growth. One of my key responsibilities was creating a weekly bookings report and sending it to the top executives every Friday night. The data compilation took 2-3 hours of manual work before I could even start adding my commentary. After spending too many Friday nights on this task, I decided to automate the process. I created a dashboard called Flash Gordon using Excel, ODBC, and SQL, which updated every four hours. This automation made everyone happy, freed up my Friday nights, and made me realize that analysts need better tools. After leaving VMware, I decided to build a platform that I would use as an analyst. I wanted to leverage spreadsheets for data and pivot tables but needed a better solution for building and automating the logic of my analyses. I also wanted to build and share my work with others. After many years of craftsmanship by a small team of engineers and analysts, we’re excited to present our creation to you.
