Hi everyone,
I am Rehan, a Data Analyst by profession, and a hobbyist tool-dev by nature. I have been obsessed with Wordle for the past two weeks. Inspired by it's elegance, simplicity and sheer virality, I wanted to make something that was language-independent and satisfied my numbers-focused brain.
Introducing Numble 🎉 It's based on the same concept of guessing individual letters (or in this case, numbers) and the game tells you which ones you got right or wrong, but here, you are given a value to match and you have to build an equation to deliver on that.
5️⃣ ✚ 3️⃣. − 6️⃣. ✖️ 1️⃣.
🟩. 🟨 ⬛️. ⬛️. 🟩. 🟩. 🟩

Fun attempt. Kudos to you. Might want to include associative property as allowable.. :)
@_varunparikh Thanks Varun, I'll definitely look into it, considering adding easy/hard modes where you can customize different features so that would be really useful!

So much fun!
Is the following expected behavior?
⬛️🟩⬛️🟨⬛️⬛️⬛️
⬛️🟩⬛️⬛️⬛️🟨⬛️
🟨🟩🟩🟩🟨🟩🟩
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
...
...
7*7*1+3 = 52 Guess again...
1*7*7+3 = 52 Correct!
@nickyarosz Hi Nicholas, first thank you for playing, glad you're enjoying it! :) And yes that's expected behavior but I am still considering whether I should add support for handling associative property so this gets accepted - still unsure on this!
What do you think would be more fun? I get this method seems a bit frustrating.

@nickyarosz@rehan_ahmed Part of the fun is deducing what the correct place for all the numbers is. I would definitely keep accepting only the literal order.
Maybe add a 4th color, purple, for numbers that are in the right "association".
@lucbloom That part was intentional as I didn't want people to use that as a loophole - that would effectively allow people to use any equation to guess the hidden numbers by adding leading 0s to the remaining guesses.
Report
@rehan_ahmed I agree, and I’m saying that I was able to use 00 + ….. anyway.
@lucbloom Ahh, now I see it, I misunderstood it. You're really good at figuring out edge cases 😅 Thanks! I'll add a condition to handle it so there are no trailing zeroes with a 0 either.

@rehan_ahmed Except for instance 100 + ... of course :-)
@jonathan_lee1 Thank you! 😄
Do leave some feedback if you like it (or if you spot any 🐞 )

Super fun for the beta brains.
I do have a request though… please copy the 6th row to the output, along with my score (which has been 6/6 twice now ;-)
@lucbloom Thank you so much for pointing out that bug - I don't know how I missed that. Just pushed the update with the fix! Now it shows the 6th row, and also shows the score.
