I love buying things at the cheapest possible price, so I released a website that compares digital camera prices on a global scale. This website compares Amazon's prices in different countries around the world. It is also updated continuously to keep up with Amazon's frequently changing prices. I believe the website’s information could be very useful to people living in countries to which Amazon has not yet expanded. This is because, due to the lack of intense price competition in these countries where Amazon does not have a presence, certain products could be selling at higher prices than in countries where Amazon is present. One problem you might face when purchasing something from Amazon in a different country is that some products cannot be shipped to your country. There are in fact many products with this kind of restriction, especially when it comes to cameras, which may be due to the restrictions placed on them by the manufacturers. You can, however, still purchase the product by using parcel forwarding services like myus.com in the United States, and tenso.com in Japan, even if Amazon cannot directly send the product to you. Yet another thing to consider is that a camera purchased from overseas will not be covered by a manufacturer's warranty. To receive warranty service, you will have to cover the cost of shipping to send the camera back to the country it came from. These are some of the things you will have to keep in mind. There is also the issue of tax. If a Japanese person were to purchase a camera from a different country, they must pay an 8% tax on 60% of the product’s value (for example, if a person living in Japan ordered a $3,000 camera from a different country, they would have to pay a tax of $144 in addition to the price of the camera, as $3,000 x 0.6 x 0.08 = $144). In summary, purchasing a camera from another country includes paying the price of the product, tax, shipping fee, and parcel forwarding service fee (if Amazon cannot send the package to your country). Even so, there must still be some products that are worth purchasing from other countries, or areas where doing so is still worthwhile! My wish is to provide people with useful information through my website. About me: I'm from Japan. I deliver newspapers from 4:00AM everyday:)
