Hey Product Hunt! I'm Manjeer, a solo dev from Singapore. I built Nufa because I got really annoyed with having to leave my reading and constantly search for context or definitions. What it does differently: Provides clean translations, definitions, explanations for what you want to know as you're reading. It's v1 and Android-only for now. I'd love to hear what's missing or broken, and which languages you'd use it for.

I built Nufa because every everyday reading put a fence between me and
the text, looking up definitions and trying to learn and read in another language felt too high-friction to start.

I wanted the opposite. Open a real novel in the language you're learning,
and read it. Tap a word and the translation appears over the page, then
leaves without a trace. When a whole sentence resists you, ask for an
explanation and you get what's happening, the grammar behind it, and the
cultural context, written for literature, not textbook sentences. Words
you save keep the sentence you found them in.

Three things I decided early and won't change:

1. No gamification. No streaks, no daily goals, no notification telling you
   you've fallen behind. Read three pages or three hundred, skip a week,
   come back.
2. Your books never leave your device. EPUB and PDF parsing is on-device —
   nothing is uploaded.
3. Premium is capability, never aesthetics. Every reading theme, the
   catalogue, vocabulary and spaced repetition are free. Paid tiers raise
   the daily AI ceiling. I won't sell you a colour scheme.

Free accounts get 10 translations and 10 explanations a day, which is enough
to read with. It's on Google Play in 177 countries; iOS is next.
