NPS Converter is a free tool that turns your Net Promoter Score into a dollar figure — showing exactly how much word-of-mouth revenue your business is generating or losing every year, based on public Bain & Company research. No signup, no paywall, instant results.

How does it estimate the actual revenue figure from just an NPS number and not any real revenue or customer count from my business?
@zkan329792 Hi Özkan & thanks for asking!
The short answer: it doesn't estimate revenue from NPS alone. It needs three inputs from you — your NPS score, your total customer count, and your monthly revenue per customer. Those are your real business numbers.
What the tool does with them is apply two published rates from Bain & Company's public NPS research:
Each Promoter (score 9-10) generates approximately 0.5 referrals per year
Each Detractor (score 0-6) suppresses approximately 1.3 potential customers per year through negative word of mouth
It uses your NPS to estimate what percentage of your customers fall into each group, then multiplies those counts by your revenue per customer to get a dollar figure.
So the methodology is: your numbers × Bain's published referral rates = estimated word-of-mouth revenue impact.
The estimates are directional rather than precise — referral rates vary by industry and how actively you cultivate them. But the primary value is in comparing scenarios: what would a 10-point NPS improvement be worth to your business specifically? That's a question no amount of generic benchmarking can answer, but your own numbers can.
