As developers, we constantly juggle between docs, GitHub, npm, and Stack Overflow just to find, vet, and install the right JavaScript packages — and we do this dozens of times per project. Then came AI editors like Claude, Cursor, and VS Code extensions with model support. But they all lacked deep package management integration. The conversation was smart, but the tooling stayed dumb. I built NPM Plus because I believe AI-assisted development deserves AI-native tooling — starting with the most fundamental piece: the package manager. NPM Plus: • Helps AI models reason about packages more intelligently • Gives developers real-time security, size, and license insights • Works out of the box with Claude, Windsurf, Cursor, and Cline • And stays fully open-source so you can self-host or customize This is just the beginning.
