Find a book, tap once, and it's added to your own Notion database — cover art, author, status (Want to Read / Reading / Read / On Hold), and an Amazon link all filled in automatically. Your books live entirely in your own Notion workspace — we never store your data on our side. Works in both English and Japanese, and falls back to Google Books for titles our primary search API doesn't cover, so foreign books work just as well.

Does the cover art get pulled in as an actual image file or just a hosted link, and does it still show up if you open that Notion page offline?
@mertcanozy66546
Thanks for the question! The cover art is fetched as an actual image file rather than just a hosted link, so it still shows up even when you open the page offline.
how does the amazon link thing actually work for books that aren't on amazon in japan
@diyar113588
The handling is split by language: for Japanese titles it shows an Amazon Japan link, and for English titles it shows an amazon.com link.
Does this work with the official Notion API limits, or do I need to set up my own integration token to get it running?
@ecrinrxlj No setup needed — just click "Connect to Notion" and authorize it.
A starter template gets duplicated into your workspace automatically,
so there's no manual token or integration to create yourself.
It runs within Notion's standard public API rate limits, plus some
lightweight rate limiting of our own on top.
Tried it on a few titles and the cover art plus status fields populated cleanly into my Notion database without me lifting a finger. Nice that it falls back to Google Books too, since I read a lot of Japanese novels that other tools choke on.
Cover art and author pulling in automatically is such a nice touch, saves a bunch of manual entry. Love that everything stays in my own Notion too.
finally a clean way to track reading without juggling a separate app, and having the data live in my own Notion feels right. the Google Books fallback for obscure titles is a nice touch.
