Notea is a Self hosted Note taking app stored on S3, that you can deploy with one click to Vercel, AWS, or deploy with Docker 🐳. It supports storage in Amazon S3, MinIO, Aliyun OSS and others. It's powered by TypeScript 🚀 and loves Mark Down.
Ahoy Product Hunt 🤠
I love customizing and self-hosting my applications and found this over at Reddit. I'm a long time lurker here and thought I'd share a free work-in-progress open source alternative to Notion, I've been on the 🔍 for, a very long time.
Notea is still work in progress and ♥ open source project for people with similar interests!
It's a cool project built on top of TypeScript, and would love to know what you all think about self-hosting your everyday applications to have more control over data, & UI.
Full props to QingWei-Li for making my day, and hopefully yours too!

Not working, I deployed via netifly & get this error - TypeError: Cannot read property 'byteLength' of undefined
@rubenwolff The reason I got hyped is because I take a lot of notes on keep and daily tasks on notion (thanks to their templates feature, that's also available on Notea), however I'd like to keep all this information self hosted my server instead of sharing it.
I also like the fact that, with the help of the open-source, you can change small UI changes or build features that are specific to you as a person. (For example, I use a open-source expense-tracker on Android, on which I've built a module that alerts me when I am running out of cash, which is not a very popular use case among a lot of people.)
Thanks for your comment!
