Nomo helps you stop doomscrolling before it starts. Instead of relying only on hard app limits, Nomo creates a moment of friction before you open distracting apps. Gentle Pause shows your intention and gives you a few seconds to reconsider, while Strict Block gives you a stronger boundary when you need it. You can choose the apps you want to protect and track the time you’ve saved from scrolling.
I built Nomo because I kept catching myself opening distracting apps without even thinking about it. I didn’t want another productivity app full of timers, streaks, and guilt. I wanted something that simply interrupts the habit.
That became Nomo.
With Gentle Pause, opening a protected app gives you a few seconds to see your intention and decide if you actually want to keep scrolling. If you want a stronger boundary, Strict Block blocks the app until you turn protection off.
I built Nomo while studying Computer Science, and a lot of the work went into making it feel simple and native while working with Apple’s Screen Time APIs.
This is the first version, so I’d genuinely love feedback, especially on what you’d want improved or added next.
Thanks for checking it out ❤️
