Can't decide what to eat? NomBot learns what you like, spins up three real spots near you, and tells you why each one is worth the trip. Got a craving? Be Picky mode narrows the hunt to exactly that. Tap once, get three, go eat. The first 1,000 Founders get lifetime access.

honestly the be picky mode sounds great but it would be super useful if you could save past picks or blacklist spots you already tried and didnt like, kind of like a little history so it doesnt keep suggesting the same places over and over
@eileenwuornos Hey thanks for replying! Actually all three of those are already features. Every pick has a Hide button that kills it for good, so it stops showing up in future spins, and there's a Hidden list if you ever want to undo one. Saved keeps the ones you liked, and Spin History shows everything you've been served, grouped by day.
One honest caveat: the automatic "don't repeat myself" window is 24 hours. Past that a spot can come back around unless you've hidden it. Through data and feedback this will change overtime but hiding is the permanent version.
a "save for later" option for the three picks would be clutch, sometimes im not ready to commit right when it suggests them and by the time i look back ive forgotten which three spots it was
@haywood_cai Half of this exists and half does not, so here is the honest split. You can heart any of the three and it stays in your saved list, free, no catch. Saving the trio as a single unit is not built. If you are on Pro, Spin History keeps each spin grouped the way it was served, all three spots together for 90 days, so you can scroll back and see exactly what you were shown Tuesday night. On a free account there is no way to get back a set you never tapped, and that gap is fair to point at.
would love a quick way to share the three picks with my partner so we both open the same list and pick together instead of screenshotting. maybe a tap to share link that pulls up the exact same three spots on their phone?
@xylo_kuang Sharing one spot works today, but a link that opens all three on their phone is not built yet. The closest thing is Group Spin: you start a session, send your partner a link, and they vote from their own phone without installing anything. Same picks in front of both of you, and it settles on one at the end. It went live on Android this week and the iPhone build is in review, so if you are on iOS it is days away rather than months. The plain three-spot share link is still a good idea on its own and I am writing it down.
Love the Be Picky mode idea, that would actually save me from my 20 minute scrolling habit. One thing though, can you add a way to blacklist spots I already tried and disliked? Three suggestions is great but if one of them is somewhere I had a bad experience last week I am probably skipping the whole thing. A simple thumbs down that remembers next time would make this way more useful.
@odney_peyton Partly built already: you can hide a place and it stays gone from your results, free, no time limit. What you are describing is softer than that though, and you are right that the softer version is missing. Hide is a permanent block. A thumbs down that just pushes a place down the list without banishing it, so a mediocre Tuesday does not erase a spot forever, is a different tool and I do not have it yet. I am looking at it seriously. Worth knowing the current behavior so you are not waiting on it: the automatic learning only nudges places up based on what you like, it never quietly pushes anything down, so today the explicit hide is the only way to tell me no.
Hi Product Hunt, Zach here.
I am a solo founder and I built NomBot to end the nightly "where do you want to eat" standoff. You spin, it hands you three real places nearby that fit what you like, and it learns your taste the more you use it.
A few things I'm proud of: it respects your dealbreakers, it reads the reviews so you don't have to, and the picks get sharper the more you spin.
It's live on iOS and Android today. The first 1,000 people get lifetime access for $49.99 one time; after that it's $4.99 a month for Pro, or free with limited spins.
What's next: Group Spin is rolling out soon. Everyone joins a lobby, sets their dealbreakers, and one spin settles it for the entire table. After that, NomBot follows you into the kitchen. That's all I'll say for now.
I'll be here all day answering everything. Tell me where I got it wrong and I'll fix it. That's the fun part of all of this for me. The more feedback the better, thank you!
