After years of using Anki and Quizlet, I was constantly frustrated by their user experiences. Anki suffers from an outdated, overly complex interface, while Quizlet focuses on flashy layouts at the expense of an effective study experience. To bridge that gap, I built NoBrainner. It takes your existing Anki and Quizlet decks and transforms them into a fast, seamless review stream with a vastly improved user experience.

Does it preserve all the Anki card types and custom fields when you import, or does it flatten everything into basic flashcards?
@aleynarr7b Hi there! I tried as much as I could to preserve all the imports from Anki, including the "HTMLS-styling" and stuying progress. I am constantly trying to improve it to the level where it will be virtually the same, but Anki brings many possibilities such as "cloze". I will show some examples of flashcards imported form Anki:
Does it sync changes back to my original Anki deck if I edit cards while reviewing, or is everything one-way?
@celalsenal45369 Currently if you export your deck from Anki, we get your study progress to it. But still we don't have the option to keep in sync decks after exports once imported on NoBrainner.
How does NoBrainner handle the spaced repetition algorithm compared to Anki, and can you fine-tune the review intervals yourself or is it fixed?
@tahirnurtawpz2 As of now, we use exactly the same FSRS that Anki uses. We are working on the future in which you can indeed fine-tune to your needs.
Does the review stream sync progress back to your original Anki or Quizlet decks, or does it live separately once imported?
@ykdtmab For now once imported it doesn't continue the syncing across platforms. But for Anki decks we try to keep users study progress, so they will pick up where they left off. But currently that syncing across platforms is something we are working on. We are adding MCPS (Which is, you can connect NoBrainner to chat gpt, claude code so you can have extra help from those agents related to your progress and decks.
Does it sync progress back to Anki or Quizlet, or is it more of a one-way import for now?
@nurcanzalp1zl8 When you first import something from Anki, if you export your study progress NoBrainner will display where you left off. But we still don't have the option where we keep in sync real-time on what happens on Anki/Quizlet after the export happens. We are working on the feature and trying our best to make the sync across platforms happen.
