We built this because we wanted a way to chat that doesn’t leave a trail—no account to tie to you, no phone number, no permanent log. The idea: what if the only “identity” was a secret code you choose or generate? Share it with one person (or a small group via topics), and only they can see the thread. Messages are encrypted on your device with that code before they’re sent; we only store ciphertext. When the other person marks something as seen, it can vanish for everyone. We added optional privacy levels (from “don’t save anything on device” to “remember my chats”), screenshot blocking by default, and no push notifications so opening the app is the only signal. Apple initially flagged us under “user-generated content” even though we’re private invite-only messaging—we added 18+, EULA, and in-app contact and resubmitted.
