NK Finance is a personal finance tracker for people who've outgrown a budgeting app but don't want a spreadsheet: net worth, assets & liabilities, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and a built-in debt payoff advisor (Snowball/Avalanche). Unlike Mint, YNAB, or Monarch, we never ask for your bank login — you enter your numbers yourself, and the Cloud Edition syncs via your own free Firebase project, not our servers. One-time purchase, no subscription. 5 editions, €3.99–€29.99.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Maker here. I built NK Finance because I kept bouncing off the same wall with every budgeting app I tried: to get the full picture (net worth, not just "spending this month"), they all wanted my actual bank login. I didn't want to hand that over to another company, so I ended up building my own tracker over the last few months.
A few things that might be relevant if you're evaluating it:
- It's genuinely self-hosted for the Cloud Edition — you deploy it to your own free-tier Firebase project, so your financial data lives in infrastructure YOU control. I never see it, because I have no server to see it on.
- There's a Local Edition with zero setup — no account, no Firebase, runs entirely in your browser, data never leaves your device. Good if you want the simplest possible trust model.
- It's a one-time purchase (€3.99–€29.99 depending on edition), not a subscription — that was a deliberate choice, not a "coming later" promise.
Happy to answer anything — architecture decisions, why Firebase instead of a fully self-hosted DB, roadmap, whatever. And if you use PH20 at checkout, it's 20% off today.
