NijiCAD takes a simple approach to 2D CAD. It focuses on the essentials of drafting without the complexity often found in traditional CAD software. It combines a familiar CAD interface with command-line and keyboard-driven workflows for fast, efficient drawing. With DXF support, layers, dimensions, hatches, and web and Windows desktop versions, NijiCAD is designed for everyday 2D drafting. We’re launching NijiCAD on Product Hunt to introduce it to more people and hear your feedback.

I’m Shinji Osada, the developer of NijiCAD. I’ve been using CAD for many years, starting with AutoCAD back in its good old days. Today, there are many AutoCAD-compatible alternatives, and I’ve tried a wide variety of CAD applications for 2D drafting. However, I couldn’t find a CAD application that felt right for me and was truly comfortable to use. That led me to develop NijiCAD — a simpler and more approachable 2D CAD that I would want to use myself. I’m launching NijiCAD on Product Hunt because I’d love for more people to try it.
