I wanted to keep up with the news without sitting down to read ten tabs, and without handing the whole job to a summary that compresses a single article and hides what it's based on. The thing I kept coming back to: when something important happens, understanding it usually means reading several outlets, because each one carries a different piece. I wanted that — the multi-source picture — but in a format I could just listen to while doing something else. News is fragmented and most "AI news" tools make it worse in a quiet way. They either summarize one article, or they generate something with no clear line back to the reporting it came from. I wanted something that (1) gathers the cluster of articles different publishers wrote about the same story, (2) turns that into a short audio overview, and (3) is honest about its sources — so you can see which outlets actually informed what you just heard.
