Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I’m Alex. I’ve spent the last 23 years living and breathing enterprise network engineering.
When I first started my career, "networking" meant physically rack-and-stacking hardware, running serial console cables, reading thick Cisco manuals, and manually configuring BGP, OSPF, and VLANs line-by-line via terminal sessions late into the night.
Over the past two decades, I’ve witnessed this industry undergo massive transformations—from monolithic hardware boxes to software-defined networks (SDN), data center migrations, SASE rollouts, and multi-cloud architectures across global environments.
Throughout all these years—whether I was troubleshooting a mysterious packet drop during a zero-hour maintenance window or re-addressing public IP schemes under immense pressure—one frustration remained constant:
Every time I needed a quick utility, I had to open a browser tab filled with heavy, ad-cluttered websites, laggy calculators, or tools that forced me to register an account just to inspect a simple value. During a critical bridge call or an active outage, every second lost to unnecessary friction feels like an eternity.
Recently, as AI and LLMs completely transformed software development, something clicked for me.
In this new era of AI, it seems like everyone is rushing to slap together wrapper products just to make a quick buck and monetize overnight. But I strongly believe that not everything in technology needs to be transactional or driven by quick profit.
I decided to pair my 23 years of real-world enterprise networking pain points with the speed of AI-assisted engineering. I didn't want to build another bloated SaaS platform with hidden paywalls. I wanted to build a clean, lightning-fast, and completely zero-friction toolkit that my fellow engineers could use seamlessly in their daily workflows.
Knowing that a utility I built actually saves a peer time during a stressful troubleshooting bridge call brings me infinitely more genuine joy than putting up a quick paywall ever could. Helping others simplify their day is deeply satisfying.
That’s how NetKit (netkit.ccie13192.com) was born.

🎯 Why NetKit? The Core Philosophy
1. Zero-Friction Web Suite (Live Now!):
The web version at netkit.ccie13192.com is completely free, lightning-fast, and distraction-free. No account registration, no paywalls, no tracking—just pure utility designed to load instantly on any workstation, jump server, or mobile device.
2. Born in the Trenches:
Every tool in NetKit isn't copied from a generic textbook; it’s directly modeled around real-world operational scenarios—data center relocations, DDI planning, security audits, string manipulations, and field diagnostics.
3. Native iOS Companion App - NetSmith (Coming Very Soon!):
While NetKit on the web handles your desktop needs, I’ve also built a dedicated native iOS companion app called NetSmith (currently in Apple App Store review!). Soon, you’ll be able to run high-speed calculations, decryptors, and diagnostic workflows straight from your pocket, right inside noisy server rooms or on-site client locations.

Looking back on 23 years in infrastructure, I realize that what drives me hasn't changed: at our core, network engineers are problem solvers who keep the connected world running. Using modern AI tools to craft clean utilities that make life easier for engineers around the globe is my way of giving back to the community.
I’d love for you to give NetKit a spin at netkit.ccie13192.com, bookmark it, and share your feedback!
