Connecting donors to frontline heroes to fund urgent needs

NeighborShare is a philanthropy network that empowers frontline heroes (case managers, teachers, nurses, etc) to fund urgent needs that would otherwise go unmet by enabling them to share stories from their communities directly with potential donors.

NeighborShare is a new kind of philanthropy that makes giving to those in need more accessible and transparent than ever before. Our model is based on the belief that frontline heroes (case managers, social workers, teachers, nurses, etc.) know their communities' needs best. We have built a proprietary national network of local community non-profits (nearly 100 partners across nearly 30 states and growing). These organizations' frontline heroes are on the ground interacting with people in their time of need. As a frontline hero at a NeighborShare partner organization, you have the ability to submit the "story" of one of your community members in need to NeighborShare. We turn that story into a compelling fundraiser and publish it on our site, https://nbshare.org, for donors to see. When donors contribute to a story, their donations go directly to the partner organization who posted it. Our partners then distribute those funds, either in cash or in kind, directly to the beneficiary in question or another household with materially similar needs. We audit our partner organizations to ensure that all donated funds are used to provide direct assistance to people in their time of crisis. NeighborShare does not take a cut of the donation, nor do we charge our partners to be a part of the network. In other words, we are a *completely free* philanthropy marketplace and storytelling platform to help our frontline heroes get the resources they need to help those who need it most. We are also a 501(C)(3) ourselves! NeighborShare is made and maintained by our incredible engineers and product managers and by our friends at Work & Co. Please share feedback and support, and if you're so inclined, help a family in need today!
