Hi Product Hunt community 👋 I'm Nico, the developer behind Nedoto. While working on various side projects over the years with teams of different skill levels, I often noticed that less experienced developers, particularly on the infrastructure side, struggled to harness the potential of remote configuration (or feature flags) due to the complexity of enterprise solutions like AWS or Firebase. This challenge inspired me to create Nedoto. A simple, developer-friendly tool designed to make remote configuration (or feature flag if you want) more accessible for those with less experience. Initially, my idea was straightforward — a tool where you could save a basic JSON file and retrieve it via API. However, as I progressed, I realized the potential to add more advanced features: 1) Real-time push: Why retrieve your configuration via API calls when you can have it pushed only when needed? 2) CDN support: Beyond storing JSON, why not also store images and make them accessible via a CDN? Building Nedoto over 5 months was an exciting journey. Alongside the tool itself, I also developed documentation and Open Source libraries on GitHub to make integration seamless. Currently, Nedoto offers a Laravel package and a more advanced TypeScript library, enabling developers to fetch configurations and listen for real-time push events effortlessly.
