Great question. We use a hybrid rendering system that combines AI-driven segmentation and style transfer techniques. For reflective materials (like gold, silver, diamonds), we utilize pretrained models from Hugging Face and custom shaders that adapt based on lighting in the user’s photo.
This ensures that metallic shine and gemstone brilliance appear natural in the video previews. We’re still optimizing for extreme reflections, but our early tests already show high accuracy in perceived material type.
