@Sebastian Nguyen I find the site and app to be quite cool. About the UX when "Read the book" or record audios, it'd be nice to have some signals to keep users updated about the progress. All the best.

@peter_h_ng_hoang Thank you very much for your comment. Regarding to "Read the book", the app will read as long as users turn the pages in front of the camera. They can turn forward or backward. Hence, the progress might not relevant here. Regard to audio recording, we are unsure what kind of progress indicator is need. We really appreciate if you can elaborate more?

@sebastian_nguyen I tried to find the audio recording feature to provide you with more details, but couldn't find it :( Anyway, just to clarify a bit about the progress: "Read the book": When I put a book page in front of the cam, there's no signal for me to know when I should flip to the next page. It's always showing "Place the book in the frame". I would imagine sth like: Nara: Pls place the book in front of the cam User: Place the book. Nara: I'm reading.... Ok, done. Please go to the next page. Sth like that. The same for the other features, I guess. Hope I've made myself clearer.

@peter_h_ng_hoang You can find the audio recording feature by going to Share --> Scan or Search for Book title --> Upload both images and audios. Regarding to the reminder of flipping to the next page, we make it off by default because we find it quite annoying. Yet, your feedback is valueable. The reminder will be very useful for new users. Thanks for your feedback, we totally understand what you mean by progress now. We will work on improving it.

Hi innovators, early adopters, and all PH friends, I'm Sebastian, father of two and founder of Nara Reading App. I'm thrilled to be sharing our reading app with all of you. The key differences of Nara Reading App with other reading apps on the market are 1) The kids do not need to stare at the screen. All they need is to turn the pages and Nara will capture and read the right page with difference voices, i.e. favorite narrator voice or AI voices. 2) The app is purposely designed for kids below 6, in which, they do not have to interact with the screen. Kids should interact with the book instead. I and my team built this app during COVID-19 locking period right here in South East Asia. I got this idea when being a bit tired to read book for my 4-year-old daughter for a long time. And trust me, I'm not a lazy dad. I really meant that long reading sessions, which sometimes can be up to a few hours per session because my daughter loves to have someone read book for her. And now, I'm quite a happy dad to sit back and have Nara entertain my daughter. Right now, you can use Nara Reading App and all its features FOR FREE (*) as long as you capture the book and record your voice page by page. By that setting, there is no copyright constraints since you own the books and your voices. That's why it is free. Yet, if you don't have time recording the books, no problem, you and your kids still can listen to AI voices and human voices by professional narrators. And Nara will charge a small fee each month to distribute back to all stack-holders such as authors, publishers and narrators (**). Currently, Nara can read more than 1,000 books and the list will be expanded rapidly. Also, we can recognize and read up to 20 latin-based languages such as English, French, German, Spanish .... In the mean time, we are working on non-latin languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian ...
