NannyCam turns any two phones into a secure, cloud-free HD baby monitor. Monitor over WiFi, mobile data, or go fully offline with WiFi Direct. Features include cry detection, two-way audio, PiP, and a unique “Loud Noises Only” mode that filters quiet background sounds. Simple QR pairing and encrypted, serverless connections make NannyCam the easiest and most private way to monitor your baby.
Hi everyone! 👋
I built NannyCam because I needed a baby monitor that actually worked anywhere — at home, while travelling, or even in places with no WiFi — without relying on bulky hardware or cloud servers. Most existing apps felt unreliable, overly complex, or not private enough.
So I set out to create a baby monitor that’s simple, secure, and works on any two phones — even completely offline.
Along the way, I added features parents kept asking for:
• Cry detection
• A first-of-its-kind “Loud Noises Only” mode that filters out quiet background sounds, so you only hear when something important happens
• Offline WiFi Direct for no-internet situations
• Encrypted, cloud-free connections
• Instant QR pairing
An iOS version is coming soon, too.
NannyCam is my attempt to make baby monitoring effortless, private, and reliable.
I’d love your feedback and ideas — this is just the beginning. ❤️

Great idea! Been juggling around two phones this whole time, was wondering when someone was going to solve it 😅
@afenjarb Thanks so much — that means a lot! 😊 I’m really glad the offline approach clicks with you. Using two phones ended up being way more practical than I expected too.
About iOS: it’s coming! The app is built in Flutter, so it’s mostly cross-platform, but I still need to do a few iOS-specific tweaks and tests before releasing it. Shouldn’t be long — I’ll post an update as soon as it’s ready. 🙏

Never thought about using an app for this but it makes total sense when I think of it.
I really like the app icon and the offline approach is super useful!
Parents would absolutely love this thing and I bet it'll make their lives easier :)
Would love to give it a try, is there an iOS version release anytime soon?
