NAGI (凪 — "a windless sea") turns a browser tab into a quiet place. 96 real-footage nature scenes — rain, campfires, auroras — with light that follows a 24-hour cycle and sound synthesized live, not looped. New: a 13-channel mixer to layer rain, fire, birds & brown noise; screen-off mode that plays all night; 6 guided sessions + 5 bedtime stories narrated in 7 languages. Free: 720p + 20 min/day, ocean lobby unlimited. Pro from $2.9 unlocks 1080p & every scene. No ads, no account.

Hi PH! I'm the maker 👋
NAGI started with a question: how calm can a web page be if I remove everything? So there's no framework, no npm, no build step — the app is plain HTML/CSS/JS and the lobby ocean is one ray-marched WebGL2 fragment shader.
Four things I'm proud of:
🌊 The audio is synthesized, not sampled. Surf is pink noise + a swell scheduler; each scene has its own chord progression, pentatonic plucks and convolution reverb. No wave is ever exactly the same, so it never gets that "loop fatigue".
🎚️ The new sound mixer: 13 channels (rain, campfire, wind, stream, birds, bells, chimes, crickets, flute, binaural beats, brown/pink/white noise) you can layer over any scene — all generated by the same synth engine, so layering costs zero bandwidth. Birdsong and the flute use real CC0/Mixkit recordings processed into seamless loops, with the synthesized versions as offline fallback.
🌙 Screen-off mode: one tap fades the screen to black and keeps the sound running — phones can hang on a nightstand all night without the display on.
🧘 Narrated guided sessions & bedtime stories: six guided practices (body scan, falling asleep, anxiety first-aid, an afternoon reset…) and five bedtime stories, each natively narrated in all seven languages. The narration is pre-rendered at build time, so playback costs zero API calls; while a course plays, the surf and music duck to ~30% and ease back a second after it ends. My favorite combo: the night-boat story over the rainy-night scene.
🕐 One 24-hour clock drives everything. Drag the time slider and the whole world — sky, sea, sand, stars — follows. At dusk it really looks like dusk.
Free tier is 720p + 20 min a day, and the Ocean lobby is unlimited forever. I'd love feedback on two things specifically: does the free tier feel fair, and which scenes are missing for you?
