Love the simplicity behind this, and how it shifts the focus from design to content and results. I don't use Wordpress, but the design has definitely been inspiring for me.
@pjrvs I really like NADA's simplicity, it makes it a really good foundation to build child themes to tweak the design a little bit. Have you thought of positioning NADA as a possible theme framework cause I would love to develop child themes for NADA?
Hey all - I decided to get back into making WP themes, and my opening volley is a theme that's pretty much the opposite of most other WP themes out there. No bells, no whistles... just back to basics with content. I modelled it after my own site, but used a Google font (which is actually a font from Adobe, Source Code Pro).
Basically: you can write and style text, you can add a mailing list signup, a site icon and a menu. That's it :)
PS: It's currently in soft launch and the price goes up in Jan.

This looks nice, and ironically it's a great example of a reason not to default to WordPress for every website. Sometimes (often) it's just not necessary.
@scottruona This is true, I don't even use WP for my own site (flat-file CMS' are easier for simple sometimes).

I just saw the Nada wordpress theme. But, I would suggest you should rewrite the marketing copy that should sound more than $100, and you're offering it for $49 only. Because your H1 header says "The no-features, simple WordPress theme." If that is the case then why would someone pay $49 :) I've been using "independent publisher" theme that is responsive, light weight and guess what! It's completely FREE. So in that case, you can have additional features under Nada Pro :) Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
@abinashmohanty Thanks for your feedback, but I'm going to keep the marketing copy. It's specifically targeted to people who understand the value of simple and minimal. There are 1,000s of free WP themes and 1,000s of paid WP themes. NADA's been selling quite well, so I have no plans to build a "pro" version since that'd be the exact opposite of why I built it and even what the word "nada" means :)

clean + simple = fast. Excellent!! Big problem with all the bells and whistles is a lot of them are slow to load, not this one...

I really love this theme and I have just bought it after comparing with other similar products (Ponder by the same designer, IA4 and Write by Themehaus were my alternatives). It has all you need to share your thought and create a community, There are dozens of minimal and simple themes for wordpress, and I would like to see more options to customize in Nada, but Paul is forcing you to do this in the child theme instead of inside the theme or widget and this boost the Nada theme itself. You can focus on what matters only when you have removed all that doesn't add any value and Nada do that for you.
