Hey Product Hunt 👋
A while back I spent a Saturday morning trying to find my dishwasher's manual because it wouldn't stop beeping (not how I pictured my Saturday morning either). I had the receipt somewhere. I had the manual somewhere. I wasn't even sure if it was still under warranty. I just couldn't find any of it when I actually needed it. And let's just say I was a "bit" frustrated... and it wasn't the first time something like this happened.
Since most manuals can be found online now, it started as just a simple place to list the items that were important to me so I could store the manuals in one spot, electronically.
As I started building it, I began thinking about all the other frustrations that come with home ownership, so it grew, and grew, and finally grew into what is now MyRoost.
Let's be honest — there's nothing fancy and no "wow factor" about tracking the things you own, and most people don't do it because it's just not something they think about. One of my main goals was to make the app easy, fun, and user-friendly enough that it doesn't feel like a chore. I like to think future-me will thank present-me for having a one-stop shop. My wife and I even share our home in the app together.
Here's a taste of what it does:
It's not just a place to log what you own — it's an assistant that actually knows your home. Snap a photo of anything and it fills in the details. Ask it questions about your own appliances and it answers from the real manual or your own notes on that item, not a generic web search. It knows exactly which filter, bulb, or part your stuff takes, so you're never guessing at the hardware store — you can even save replacement part links right in the app, so no more digging through email or Amazon order history to find that water filter you bought six months ago. If you're not sure how to replace that cabin air filter in your new minivan (yeah, we have one), just ask and it'll point you straight to a YouTube video. It quietly checks safety recall databases every month. When something breaks under warranty, it drafts the claim email for you. God forbid you have a home loss, just print out the full insurance-ready report. It'll even remind you about car, boat, and other registrations, so no more tickets because you forgot a renewal.
Would love your feedback — especially on what "actually useful" looks like for your own home. I'm in the comments all day.

Honestly this looks super useful, especially the manuals thing. One thing I'd love is a shared household mode so my partner and I can both see the same inventory and maintenance reminders without duplicating stuff. Would make it way more practical for us.

@nevzatzmer6qyj Thanks Nevzat! It's soooo much easier now that my wife and I can have all our stuff in 1 place! No more, "where did you put that manual?", lol! If you download the app, you will be able to add your partner right through the "Share Household" in the Settings area. I appreciate you taking a look!
