I built MyFinances because I’m tired of "free" apps that treat my financial data like a product. It’s a private hub for your wealth—from net worth tracking and FIRE forecasting to debt payoff planning. We do it all without risky bank links. MyFinances uses manual entry and secure CSV imports to keep you in control. No Plaid, no data scraping. We even have optional AI tools to help you find savings, but only if you want them. Your data, your choice.

I’m the founder of MyFinances, and to be honest, I’m just tired of being the product. For years, I used the big-name budgeting apps. I loved the pretty charts, but I hated the trade-off. To get those charts, I had to hand over my bank password to a middleman and let them scrape my life. Then, like clockwork, I’d start getting "targeted" ads for credit cards I didn't even want. I realized that if the app is "free" and it’s linking to my bank, I am the product. I built MyFinances as a private alternative for people who want the data without the compromise. It’s a full command center for your wealth, but it starts with a "Zero-Knowledge" philosophy. What makes it different: No Bank Linking: We don't use Plaid. We don't want your login. You stay in control via manual entry or secure CSV imports. The Full Picture: This isn't just a budget tracker. It’s a Net Worth monitor, a FIRE (Financial Independence) forecaster, and a Debt Payoff planner all in one hub. Optional AI: We use Gemini to help you find "ghost subscriptions" and spending leaks in your CSVs, but it’s 100% optional. If you’re hesitant about AI, you can ignore it and still have the most powerful manual tracker on the market. Privacy by Design: Your data is isolated in a private vault. We don't sell it, we don't track you, and we don't have VC overlords telling us to monetize your habits. We’re a tiny, independent team building this for the long haul.
