The app looked good, but the moment you start using it and start setting it up, you realize that you can't even set the date you started dating without paying a subscription, which I can't understand why this app needs. I'll gladly pay a front sum for it, but for one app that does something as simple as this I can't believe that a subscription truly makes sense.

Though subscriptions are supposed to support and fund future development of the upcoming versions of My Love which will contain tons of more and complex to build features. We're considering integrating a pay upfront feature as well for those that would prefer it instead.

Why would you make someone to pay at first glance without trying?

The app comes with a 7-day free trial; if you like the app the subscription continues, otherwise you can cancel the trial if you don't like the app and you won't be charged at all.

I'm interessted but the pricing doesn't fit to me for this kind of product. I would rather pay one shot (around 10€ max) but certainly not a monthly subscription. I think I'll keep an eye on your product anyway.

Looks really nice, great design

Cons:

I can't even try the app for free and the price seems to be really over estimated for what it does

Thank you so much for checking out our app :) In terms of trying out My Love; you're indeed able to try out the app completely at no cost through the 7-day free trial it comes with, if you cancel the trial before the 7-days you won't be charged at all, otherwise the subscription continues. In terms of pricing. I believe you're right regarding the price being a little over estimated, we're thinking of lowering it from $2.99 to $1.99. We also think that your 1-shot $10 buy of the app is a great idea, we're going to consider integrating it. Thanks again for checking us out & giving us a review :)

Juan, Firstly, congratulations on the launch! I think this product is a pretty novel idea. One thing I'd say is that, while I'm pretty good at spousing, keeping up with friends I find even more difficult, and it'd be nice to be able to keep track of important milestones with friends too! That said I'm going to try the product anyway 👋

Seems kind of pricey. I know it's got some legs up on just having a history over Facebook, but I'm a bit turned off by the "free but not really" with the in-app purchase.

By the way if you're looking to gain traction by learning more about your market I have a research service where for $12 you can ask 100 people a question then follow-up based on how they answered and even interview them! https://scoops.io/ You could ask e.g. "Would you pay X to keep a history log of all the details surrounding a relationship you're having with someone?"
