Streaming Internet Music Catalog

Our goal is to organize all of the free music on the internet in order to provide a listening experience that rivals any premium music service. Free streaming sites lack meta-data. Listeners expect songs to be organized by artist, album, etc. Muusical provides a platform to catalog and listen to the free streaming music.

Hey everyone, I am a founder of Muusical.com. Our goal is to catalog all of the free music on the internet in order to provide a listening experience that rivals any premium music service. Muusical has been up for about a year now, we started as a "Product Hunt for Music" but we have recently pivoted to be a music catalog. We provide a listening experience similar to Spotify and other premium offerings. Our service is free of charge with a crowdsourced library that provides a familiar structure to the music of YouTube, SoundCloud and Vimeo by organizing songs by artist, album and track number. Right now we are web only and focusing on building a community of people who are interested in cataloging and organizing music. Users may add songs from YouTube, SoundCloud or Vimeo. Our new platform gives them the ability to identify the song with artist(s), album(s) and track number(s) which the song is then indexed against. The cataloging of a single song can be done as a collaborative effort by many users. We see the streaming music landscape being split into two basic categories. The first are services like Spotify and Apple Music which are premium services with familiarly structured libraries. The second category are services like YouTube and SoundCloud which are free but have music libraries which lack structure. Muusical aims to be in a new category which is both free and unstructured. It should be noted that Spotify offers a free version but with advertisements that interrupt the music. Muusical's promise is to always be free and never interrupt the listening experience with advertisements. I would love to hear feedback, and particularly hear from others with experience with products that heavily crowdsourced their data.

I use to Muusical to discover new music. I think nobody has really nailed music discovery so I'm always happy to try something new. I wish there was a function to just let me autoplay stuff, hopefully in a future release?

@kurtybot do you mean like a "radio" feature? Where you click something like "start radio" it starts a pandora-like stream?
