It is a pleasure to work on the project with the owner who has lots of ideas, improving Muuchit product with each update. I like the idea of providing unique spaces to renters and helping charity organizations.

I hope more people looking to book events will consider Muuchit first.

Pros:

Purpose driven company! Very clever way to provide additional income and funding to local non-profit organizations.

Only in a few locations, excited to see this company expand!

Hi @lisa_nuessle Thanks for your idea! I'd like to better understand, so we can support your request. It sounds like the Requests Service static form could be expanded and we can create a "sub-marketplace" to browse and book your favorite local event service providers. Example: you click request services, click caterers from a bunch of icons (DJ, caterer, Musician, etc.), then enter your location radius, criteria, etc, then results page shows of local chefs that meet your criteria, you select the ones your interested in , they bid on your event, then you select one you prefer, and book on Muuchit. Sound like the flow you're looking for?

I love this idea! When I was working on planning a wedding, one of the most irritating parts was trying to figure out which venue fit my budget - no venues were really transparent about pricing on their websites and you had to call to get that pricing. One other problem I felt came up during that event planning was that I did not like how wasteful such an event could be and that it was really about two people, not a greater cause. With so many people in need, it just never sat right with me and felt so unmindful. The idea of having a socially conscious theme tied to a day like that is at least a step in the right direction. Would love to see more about sustainability, renting and re-using materials for an event, and things like that. What would be a great addition to this site would be to go beyond event spaces and think how to make events less wasteful.

@kat_alderman Thanks so much for your input and suggestions. Yes, I agree with you how frustrating it can be when venues have ambiguous pricing structures. We make sure it's clear what the hourly venue rate is on our web app, and ensure the listing providers are clear about any add on fees. I recently met an event planner with your idea to make events less wasteful. We plan to partner with local event services companies that foster sustainability, and use reusable stemware, etc, and donate left over foods to local shelters. Pro: Amazing rental marketplace focused on generating exposure for a local great cause. Con: Currently in a couple markets but lots of potential for growth, especially in the South Florida area. I've recently used Muuchit to search for wedding venues and was introduced to so many unique local venues within my DIY price range. I interacted with my first venue host this week, and I'm so excited that I've found this platform. Thanks for creating this awesome product!
