We built MoveConnector because the moving industry in the UAE (and globally) felt stuck in the "wild west." We saw friends getting hit with hidden fees on moving day or, worse, dealing with unlicensed operators who held their belongings hostage. We realized that while there were plenty of "directories," there was no one actually vetting the quality. The Problem: The core problem wasn't just "finding a mover"—it was finding a safe mover. Existing platforms were just open phonebooks. Users were drowning in unverified options, leading to price drift, lack of accountability, and huge stress. We wanted to replace the "fingers crossed" approach with a "guarantee." How we evolved: Our process shifted massively during development. We started with the idea of a broad marketplace but quickly pivoted to a "closed network" model. We realized that allowing anyone to list undermined our promise of trust. So, we built a strict vetting system (checking trade licenses, insurance, and track records) before a mover could ever touch our platform. It meant slower supply-side growth initially, but it ensured that every single quote on MoveConnector comes from a verified pro.
