Existing mental health apps force accounts, harvest data, and require cloud connections. Mouna is a 100% offline, local-only sanctuary. It stands out with two core tools: The Time Vault allows you to type out a racing thought and physically lock it away on a timer to stop overthinking. The Safe Room provides immediate anxiety relief using somatic haptic feedback synced with visual breathing guides. Zero servers. Total privacy. Your mind's data never leaves your device.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Vivek, a solo developer from Hyderabad, India and I’m incredibly excited to share Mouna with you today.
When you're in a loop of overthinking, the last thing you need is a tool that forces an account signup, uploads your private thoughts to a cloud server, or hides basic relief behind a heavy subscription. This is where Mouna comes in.
Mouna is a dedicated mental sanctuary designed to help you reclaim your attention rather than surrender it. Unlike most digital tools, it acts as a quiet, candlelit room for your mind—a space built specifically for the moments when your thoughts feel too heavy to carry, providing an offline-first environment where you can finally put them down and breathe.
The word Mouna means "Silence" in Sanskrit. I wanted to build a true sanctuary where the noise of the world—and your mind—finally dissolves.
What makes Mouna different:
🔒 100% Offline & Private: No servers, no tracking. Your data never leaves your device. It’s a digital burn-book that only you hold the key to.
⏳ The Time Vault: Write it down (or use Voice Capture) and set a timer. The vault physically locks the thought away, giving your nervous system permission to let it go.
🎨 Grounding Rituals: Transition from racing thoughts to the present by tracing procedural Mandala art or catching fireflies. These are somatic tools synced with haptic feedback to physically ground you.
✨ Zen UI: A minimalist, glassmorphic design built with Flutter to feel like a living, breathing space.
A Special Note of Gratitude: This launch wouldn’t be possible without my founding testers. You were the first to enter this sanctuary, and your feedback over the last 14 days was the bridge that brought Mouna from a private experiment to the public stage. Thank you for walking through the silence with me.
As an indie maker, your feedback is my compass. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the rituals, the haptics, or the offline-first philosophy.
I’ll be hanging out here in the comments. Let the noise dissolve into silence. 🌙
