Mooring is a free Mac app, the agentic development environment (ADE) for Claude Code. An ADE is where you run AI coding agents and steer the work. It’s slightly different to a traditional IDE, where you write the code and AI may help. In an ADE, agents do the work, and you direct and review it. Run several Claude Code sessions at once without losing track, give each task its own worktree and branch, it shows how fast each one is using your plan, and stops cleanly at your limit.

I’m James from Stratagems 👋
We use Claude Code a lot at Stratagems, once you have Claude working on several things at once, a plain terminal stops being enough. Sessions get lost among windows, it’s hard to see which one is waiting for you, and a plan limit can stop everything halfway through. We built Mooring to fix that.
It’s a free Mac app where every tab is a real terminal running Claude Code, with your tasks, branches and usage kept alongside. Select a task in the Cards tab and press ⌘S, and Mooring makes a worktree and branch, starts Claude there and hands it the task. You can press ⌥⌘M to add an idea by voice while Claude keeps working, and see how fast each branch is using your plan as it happens. When you’re close to your limit, Mooring offers to wind your sessions down cleanly, then restarts them with a note of where each one got to once the limit resets.
We’re really excited to finally have it out in the wild. It’s now in V1, so we’d love to hear what you think, what’s missing, and how you’re running Claude Code today.
