Monocle: Raycast for Android. A unified, offline command bar.

I am Haseeb, the maker of Monocle.

I built Monocle because I was tired of interrupting my mobile workflow to dig through app drawers, search engines, and settings menus. I wanted a fast, unified command layer that runs over whatever app is currently open, just like Raycast or Spotlight does on a desktop.

Monocle operates via an Android accessibility overlay, which allows it to pop up instantly and execute commands seamlessly.

Two things I prioritized during development:

Universal compatibility: It acts as a seamless overlay on top of any app you are currently using.
100% offline architecture: The core app is completely local. It requires no internet permission, has zero background tracking, and includes no analytics. Your data never leaves your device.

Monocle is currently available on itch.io for $2, which is helping me fund the $25 Google Play Console developer fee so I can eventually bring it to the Play Store.

Building "Raycast for Android": What commands would actually save you time on mobile?

I built Monocle because I was frustrated by how much time I waste on Android just switching between apps to do simple things. On desktop, we have productivity tools like Spotlight and Raycast, but mobile still forces you to constantly break your workflow just to search a quick term or map a location.
