Moka-fi turns private online communities into cozy cafés made of shared tables. See who is around, take a seat, chat or join audio and video calls, study with Pomodoro, tasks, flashcards and collaborative mind maps, listen to radio and ambient sounds, or play five built-in games—all from the browser.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
Moka-fi is now live.
It is a web app for private communities organized like cafés. Each community has tables where people can see who is around, take a seat, and spend time together.
Today, Moka-fi includes:
☕ Private cafés with invitations and moderation
💬 Chat, media, reactions, and audio/video calls
📚 Shared Pomodoro, tasks, flashcards, and collaborative mind maps
🎵 Table radio and personal ambient sound mixes
🎮 Tic-tac-toe, Connect 4, chess, checkers, and Café sem Filtro
The app runs directly in the browser and is available in Portuguese, English, Spanish, German, and Japanese.
I’d love your honest feedback: what would make a virtual café feel more welcoming and useful to you?

As an introvert I love the idea of a virtual cafe table that I can leave at any point or just check in for 10 minutes.
what would you say is the main painpoint you are trying to solve here? also you dont have anybody in your maker team, please add that, always good to know whim your speaking with!
good luck, see you at a table soon!

Maker
@andreas_jablonka Thank you! That’s exactly one of the experiences I want Moka-fi to enable.
The main pain point I’m trying to solve is that a lot of online spaces feel either too demanding socially or too isolated. Sometimes you want to study, work, play something, or just hang out around other people without having to commit to a call or actively participate in a conversation.
Moka-fi is meant to be that middle ground: a cozy virtual place where you can join a table, stay for 10 minutes or a few hours, talk if you feel like it, or simply enjoy having people around while doing your own thing.
And great point about the maker team, I’ll add myself there. Thanks for pointing that out!
Hope to see you at a table soon ☕

@andreas_jablonka Yep! That’s actually an important part of the idea. You can just hang out at a table without having to constantly interact with anything. No “are you still there?” nag screens or pressure to participate. If you want to stay for 30 minutes just listening to music, studying, working, or chilling, that’s completely fine.
You can also simply stay there, enjoy the music, take your time, and do absolutely nothing if that’s what you feel like doing. There’s no obligation to talk, join an activity, or interact with anyone.
I want Moka-fi to feel more like being at an actual café. Sometimes you talk to people, sometimes you just enjoy having them around.
