OTPs are a form of security authentication that is very common use by many businesses. Generally, the OTP will be sent to the user’s mobile phone via Short Messaging System (SMS). OTPs are a part of Application-to-Person (A2P) Messaging) which is a message sent by an application. In order to receive it, the user must have a registered personal mobile number. SMS was often used as a medium for sending OTPs but this method often contained obstacles such as: 1. Delayed delivery. 2. Costly. 3. 160 character limitation To solve this problem, businesses can take advantage of the WhatsApp API, particularly using the Messages Template. Here’s why: 1. Increased delivery rate. 2.
